The Story So Far

At the end of the Fourth Holy Grail War, the man who should have been the champion of the competition chose instead to destroy his prize, forging a fiery mark into the very heart of not just the city of Fuyuki but the grail itself. 

It would take another ten years before the true damage to the grail was made known, but finally after the grail reappeared in the Fifth War, stress was put on the already damaged vessel and the world is worse for the result: The city of Fuyuki is gone, taking with it the lives of the remaining masters and servants, as well as thousands of innocent civilians. Kiritsugu Emiya's attempt to protect the world has done nothing but bring more death and misery. 

Those who would attempt to clean up the mess that was left in the wake of the event that came to be known simply as "the destruction of Fuyuki", they noticed one thing - the grail was no longer one whole body but rather numerous fragments resembling a china cup that had been dropped. When two more fragments were found, they made the guess that there were six pieces of the grail, each scattered on different continents considering the second piece had been found in the heartland of Europe. To find these pieces, they would need to scour the globe, but for now a much greater crisis had arisen. 

Like the water coming out of a broken glass, servants that would have been held back by the grail were now springing up across the world, preying on the unaware general populace. Towns were massacred to give the starving spirits sustenance, creating an aura of fear across the globe. Nobody knew what was going on outside of the magic community, but everyone knew that something was wrong. Even those in the magic community took advantage of this situation, mercenaries and rogue agents forming pacts with either newly summoned spirits or teaming up with ferals, causing new armies to spring up overnight. 

As the mediators of the global conflict, the church has now allied with the Mage Academy in an attempt to be strong enough to wipe out the Feral community and protect the unaware victims from the wrath of the predatory spirits, though their long, tense relationship still threatens to form conflict between the two factions. They dubbed their uneasy alliance "the Tenth Crusade" and made their presence known by slaughtering a camp of ferals in the highlands of Scotland. 

This display of power reminded the noble families that had been so terribly afflicted by the loss of their main branch members in the destruction of Fuyuki just what they had to lose. Those that remained and the lesser families have banded together, and were in fact the ones to work out that there were six pieces of the grail in the first place. The "Clarembault Truce" is slowly mustering power throughout asia, and will soon be ready to take back the respect that was once given so freely. 

Finally, a mysterious group of masters and servants from the heartland of America have sprung up, directly attempting to spread discord between the other two factions. Even the other factions don't truly understand who they are, but they understand that there is a looming threat from the western world that they have to stay strong against. War is coming, or you might even be able to say that war has already sprung up. 

Eight months have now passed since the destruction of Fuyuki and with this tension in the air, it's inevitable that sometime soon the dam will break and the Third World War will start. Are you ready to protect your faction and your friends? 

This is the sixth, the last, and the greatest grail war, and every last man, woman and child are its players.
